Crossfire 2024 - Next Steps
I’m excited to share with you the amazing work God is doing among us here at Crossfire Christian Ministries. Since our first informal meeting in October of 2021, and at every turn since, the Lord has shown his kindness and mercy toward us and has brought us to this amazing point in our walk together as an organization. Our efforts to impact the lives of Christian business leaders in positive and supportive ways for the sake of the Kingdom have led to the formation and growth of two strong groups of leaders in Houston and Lubbock. Each person brings their gifts and insights to our gatherings and receives the blessing of life in community with other leaders who share similar successes and challenges.
In such a short time, we’ve witnessed moments of encouragement, shared stories of God’s amazing timing and provision, and offered words full of care and deep concern during times of trial. With each meeting, we draw closer together in kinship and mutual support knowing that whatever the future holds, we have others in our circle who understand, who care, and who pray for us.
Our shared ministry is not solely for ourselves! In recent weeks we’ve been in conversation about an upcoming partnership that will allow us as an organization to share our experiences to bless and encourage others who want to be Christ-honoring in the workplace as well. Dates and other details about this exciting event are just over the horizon!
These amazing developments, of course, require resources. CCM is a self-funded ministry that depends on the generosity of participants and other supportive partners. Starting today, we are launching our fundraising efforts for the next calendar year. These funds will:
a) Support our ongoing efforts to nurture, equip, and support Christian business leaders in Houston and Lubbock providing funding for meeting spaces, special events and retreats, and operational expenses.
b) Provide resources to grow. We want to expand our network! To do so requires investment in skilled leaders to anchor new groups in other cities in Texas and beyond. To do this will require time and resources for meetings, in-person conversations, and administrative support.
c) Develop partnerships with others! We want to be an organization that not only blesses each other, but also reaches out in service to others. Funds in this area will provide resources to host events and other gatherings with partnering organizations.
Efforts to realize the goals listed above are already underway! Called “Crossfire 2024,” our financial goal is to raise $100,000 in donations to further this work. Now, you may look at that number and think: “No way!” But I’m telling you, in the months that have led to this moment, God has supported us at every turn, and we are confident in His provision and are bold enough to believe He will provide what we need. If we reach or exceed our goal? We will give thanks to God. If we get to the end of November and realize we aren’t close to our goal? We will give thanks to God! He has brought us to this season and will lead us into the next.
Finally, a quick word on why your financial support matters. It will matter because your investment in CCM will be an investment in the lives of Christian leaders challenging the loneliness and isolation that accompanies their daily work existence; who take seriously their call to be an authentic Christ-honoring leader at home; And who recognizes what a great responsibility it is to be a Christian business leader. What a great opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds of people who are shaped by the Godly decisions of these great leaders. Will you join us?
